I tried for a long time to get an OEM TV setup going on the MFD2 but came to the conclusion that no such thing exists. The gateway my bro got had an ipod connector as well as a standard aux in for other devices (like my Nokia N900) to play audio through the car sound system also.
The Dension gateways are a few hundred bucks though, so it depends on how much you want to spend. The Car Kit Company in Artarmon sold and fitted his (I've talked about it elsewhere on this forum if you want to have a search) My brother put one in his MkV Golf (RNS-300, not RNS-MFD2) but because he has the full screen display in the dash (as I suspect you do), the integration and control you get over the iPod is wicked. I checked and it has 3E / 0525 for the firmware. I have just picked up my new MY07 Passat V6 and it has a MFD2 Sat nav unit with 6CD stacker in glove box.
